Buy One Get One Free Scheme
IT Schools Africa sends approximately 6,000 computers per year to Africa, of which 3,000 are supplied to our Zambian programme. Whilst we are able to cover the shipping costs, we are unable to fund all of the cost of refurbishing the computers. We have introduced a ‘Buy One, Get One Free’ initiative to encourage more schools, especially those in the less developed rural areas of Zambia, to invest in IT equipment. This initiative will mean that more of these schoolchildren will gain access to IT for the first time.
We aim to supply 3,000 refurbished computers to our in-country NGO, Computers for Zambian Schools under our ‘Buy One, Get One Free’ initiative. These computers will give pupils, teachers and the wider community access to basic IT skills and information access. The project will focus on providing computers to some of the most disadvantaged schools in Zambia and will help:
- Increase the number of students receiving IT education
- Increase the number of students sitting and passing a recognised IT exam
- Improve the teaching and learning experience
