The first Zambia shipment for 2010 is on its way.
After a short delay while the technical centre in Lusaka relocated, the first 2010 shipment of computers to Zambia is finally on its way. Along with the standard packages of Pentium iii and iv computers with CRT and flat screens, there were a number of special deliveries. Included in this shipment were three boxes of IT text books covering word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and databases, which were kindly donated by Westonbirt school, Tetbury, Gloucestershire. Another addition was a box of 50 CDs of Encyclopaedia Britannica. Sales and Distribution manager Pat McGuire was pleased to be able to donate some of their old stock when he heard that there was a need, and we will be including batches of their donation in all our shipments for 2010. Last and not least, this shipment included a special consignment of PCs for Kitwe Street Children's Project. Volunteers Chris and Lee load the final boxes into the container. |
