450 computers shipped to Malawi PDF Print E-mail

The ITSA-CFAS programme – a collaboration between ITSA and Computers for African Schools (CFAS) - sent 450 computers to Malawi in June, which means the programme has now sent a total of 12,000 computers to Africa.

African School Children The computers will be received by ITSAs local partner Computers for Malawian Schools who will oversee the distribution of the equipment to state and mission secondary schools around the country. Each school will receive 10 computers as well as the necessary IT teacher training and technical support.

Without the support of the ITSA-CFAS programme, children in Malawi would not have access to IT, as the cost of equipment is otherwise prohibitively expensive for schools. IT education is essential in the modern world for teaching valuable skills, providing access to education materials, improving employment prospects and reducing the digital divide.

For further information about ITSA and if you would like to donate computers please contact Murray Douglas.
