Computers for Niger PDF Print E-mail

ITSA sent 80 computers to Agadez, Niger in November 2006, supporting the Dungri ICT project which is looking to provide IT education to schools and communities in Ndu, Nkambe, Mbiame, Nkar, and Elak, and 6 secondary schools in Cameroon.

Agadez has a population of approximately 800,000 and is the second biggest region in Niger. It has over 27 schools with about 30,000 students. The inhabitants are mostly Muslims and the people depend mainly on agricultural and animal husbandry for a living. The computers will help generate better career opportunities.
