Preserving the Environment

Reuse of computers is the best form of recycling, and donating computers to ITSA helps to preserve the environment as well as meeting all your legal obligations.

ITSA reuses working computers and recycles any defective machines. In addition, we work with distribution partners in Africa to ensure the computers are recycled at end-of-life. Reusing IT equipment saves energy and resources, prevents hazardous materials from ending up in landfill and is 20 times more effective at saving life cycle energy use than recycling.

The production of every PC consumes 240kg of fossil fuels, 22 kg of chemicals and 1.5 tonnes of water. We strive to recover the significant cost to the environment of PC production, by reusing all PCs before eventually recycling them to recover parts and materials at end-of-life.
