Computers for Zimbabwean Schools PDF Print E-mail

IT Schools Africa established Computers for Zimbabwean Schools (CZwS), a not-for-profit Trust, to manage the distribution of computers  in Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe ClassroomThe Zimbabwe programme, was originally established by IT Schools Africa's partner organistion Computers for African Schools in 2001. To date (2012) the programme has distributed over 7,000 computers to more than four hundred schools.

CZwS is based at the Minsitry of Education's Education Technical Centre in Mount Pleasant Harare.

The Directors of CZwS are:

  • Eliada Gudza, Executive Director, World Links Zimbabwe
  • Ann Hamiton-King, Rotarian
  • Viola Dondo, Computer Society for Zimbabwe
  • Florence Mombeyarara
With the assistance of the Beit Trust, CZwS has established a training facility at its premises and is undertaking teacher training.
