The work of ITSA and partner charity CFAS (Computers for African Schools) is divided between UK and Africa.

UK

In the UK, ITSA acts as the operations hub, sourcing used computers and preparing them for shipping. ITSA is supported by a number of UK prisons to refurbish the computers before they are sent to Africa. ITSA also runs a training and education centre at its Cheltenham headquarters, teaching refurbishment and IT skills to unemployed and disadvantaged students .

Africa

For joint Country Programmes with CFAS (Computers for African Schools), CFAS takes responsibility for the distribution of the computers to schools when they reach Africa, along with technical support and IT teacher training.

ITSA also donates to individual projects in Africa – schools, community centres and other charities.
