HMP Whitemore joins ITSA’s prison refurbishment programme PDF Print E-mail

HMP Whitemore in Cambridgeshire joined ITSAs prison refurbishment scheme in June, becoming the fourth prison to come on board. 35 prisoners will refurbish computers in a 4000 sq foot unit within the prison and pack them for shipping to Africa.

ITSA guarantees secure data wiping of all recycled computers before shipment to Africa PDF Print E-mail

Following claims of sensitive data being stolen from recycled computers in Africa after their UK disposal, Murray Douglas, Project Manager of Cheltenham-based charity IT Schools Africa (ITSA), reassured Gloucestershire businesses and the general public that ITSA thoroughly wipes all sensitive date from all recycled computers, meeting approved government standards.
