CFAS
ITSA works closely with CFAS (Computers for African Schools), a registered charity based in Bristol and Reading, sharing costs, resources and experience. Their joint ITSA-CFAS programme is making a major difference in several of the poorest countries in Africa, so far providing over 940,000 children with access to IT technology. The majority of the computers CFAS receives are now dispatched through the ITSA warehouse in Cheltenham. CFAS has 7 years experience of distributing computers within Africa and setting up teacher training courses. |
The Beit Trust
The Beit Trust supports health education, welfare and environmental projects in Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Established by Alfred Beit, who made his fortune in the diamond mines in South Africa at the turn of the 20th century, the trust has been a generous supporter of the ‘Computers for African Schools’ programme. |
Rotary International
The Gloucestershire Rotary club Cheltenham, Cheltenham Cleeve Vale, Cheltenham
Sunrise, Cheltenham North, Severn Vale and North Cotswolds have joined forces to start up the new Computers for Tanzanian Schools programme and are committed to running it for the first year, raising funds and sourcing computers. They have applied for a matching grant to raise further funds. The Rotary Club of Bahari Dar es Salaam has also pledged its support in Tanzania and will oversee the running of the project and the expenditure of funds within the country. The Rotary Tanzania project aims to supply 700 computers to 70 schools, setting up a computer lab with 10 computers in each.

Byte Back
Byte Back is a not-for-profit recycling organisation which collects used computers in the Bristol area and passes them on to ITSA for refurbishment and shipping. |
The Global Dimension Trust
The GDT is a charity pioneering supportive and responsible partnerships between schools and communities in the UK and East Africa as well Asia. ITSA is collaborating with the GDT on a Share to Learn (STLP) school linking programme, forging online links between primary and secondary schools in the UK and Kenya. |
SLS Training - working with the long term unemployed
ITSA works with SLS Training to provide work placements for the long-term unemployed. The trainees do voluntary work for ITSA, helping to refurbish computers and prepare them for shipping. This experience increases their confidence and skills and helps them develop a routine until they find permanent positions. |
Prospect Training Services
As with SLS above, ITSA works with Prospect to provide training and work placements for unemployed people over 25 years old. |
Web Kids
Web Kids is a charity which promotes education in the UK and Ireland by facilitating the transfer of used computers from UK businesses to inner city schools. |
IT Kidz of Africa
IT Kidz of Africa is a charity aiming to increase IT literacy in Africa. |
Gloscat
Gloucestershire College is one of the largest further education colleges in the UK, offering a wide range of education and training programmes. Gloscat are starting a computer refurbishment programme for ITSA in September 2007. |
